On June 17th, Powall had the pleasure of hosting the NXTGEN Hightech Batteries consortium β a collaborative effort focused on advancing battery material for next-generation batteries.
Together with fellow ALD innovators like SALD BV, and cutting-edge silicon anode companies E-magy and LeydenJar, we’re working to unlock the full potential of silicon in battery applications. With ~4β10Γ higher specific capacity than conventional graphite, silicon anodes promise greater energy density, enabling longer ranges and smaller battery packs for electric vehicles.
Our role? Leveraging Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) coatings to stabilize silicon anodes as they undergo structural changes during charge/discharge cycles.
Weβre proud to be part of this visionary consortium alongside TNO’s Holst Centre, University of Twente, SALD, Emagy, and LeydenJar, and weβre committed to making the Netherlands a hub for next-generation battery equipment and materials.
Empowdering Progress β together.
